Lil Wayne is the latest rapper to run into big trouble with the IRS. According to the Detroit News, Wayne was recently hit with a 1.13 million dollar tax lien for back taxes owed stemming back to 2004. Wayne, who is set to be released out of prison in November, could easily strike a check and pay off the feds with proceeds of his upcoming album release, The Carter 4. First week numbers should take care of the IRS….

We are starting a new feature here on YoungBrothas.com, titled the “Photo of the Week”. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and often there are images that hit the net that speak volumes. This week, we learn that being a multi-millionaire award winning singer/songwriter/producer is a tough job. If you are The Dream, you need some time on the beach, relaxing and getting head preparing for your new album with your assistant. Unfortunately for The Dream, his assistant didn’t clear this with his wife, Christina Milian, and he forgot the paparazzi is everywhere these days.

It’s been a rough year for former Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell. First, the former number 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft gets dropped by the Raiders in May, and now this. Russell was arrested earlier today for possession of a controlled substance, which the authorities later said was in fact sizurp a.k.a Lean a.k.a what’s in Lil Wayne’s cup most of the time he’s on stage.
The NFL career of Russell might have been over even before this, as in 3 seasons as the Raiders starter, Russell managed to go only 7-18.

As the 4th of July holiday weekend is now upon us, please be safe when driving and partying. You might not have as much to lose as Georgia Athletic Director Damon Evans or Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, but you could lose it all with one bad decision.
Evans was arrested on charged of DUI after refusing a breathalyzer testand failure to maintain a lane late Wednesday night. Evans, 40, had a 28 year old woman in the car with him, who also faces disorderly conduct charges. Evans is married, and his relationship with the woman in the car is unknown.
