T.I (before the arrest) was having a pretty good summer. Anytime you can have Keri co-star in your video, things can’t be too bad.

8. Waka Flocka – Hard In The Paint
Waka Flocka Flame had one of the street anthems of the summer cross over to the mainstream with “Hard In The Paint”.

7. Nicki Minaj – Your Love
Young Money’s first lady kept her buzz high this summer, dropping “Your Love”. We will see how the album turns out.

6. Drake x Lil Wayne – Miss Me
Lil Wayne was featured in so many videos this summer I almost forgot he was locked up. Drake and Wayne collab on this banger off “Thank Me Later”.

5. Kanye West – Power
‘Ye has always been…different. His “Power” performance at the BET Awards got people’s attention again, and the video that followed kept it. New album on the way.

4. Trey Songz – Already Taken
The hardest working man in R&B had four songs on the Top 10 Billboard charts at one point this year, and his track for a movie soundtrack keep his fans hungry for more.

3. Drake x Jay-Z x Lil Wayne – Light Up Rikers Remix
When can one of the top songs of the summer not even be a single or have a video? When you combine the hottest name in the game(Drake) with the best rapper alive(Jay-Z) and add a jailhouse verse from Weezy F. Baby.

2. Erykah Badu x Rick Ross – Window Seat Remix
Perhaps my favorite moment in music this year was the buzz Erykah Badu stirred for her original Window Seat video. Ricky Rozay decided to jump on the remix, make a video, and the rest is history.

1. Rick Ross x Styles P – Blowing Money Fast
There wasn’t an artist who had a bigger summer than Rick Ross. Just about everyone forgot about his senseless beef with 50 Cent after Teflon Don dropped. A new, unconfirmed beef with Jeezy was rumored, but in the end, Ricky stood alone in the winners circle.
