Black Male Graduation Rates Drop Overall

July 15, 2010

in Stuff

Men lie, women lie, but numbers don’t. A recent report showing the state by state high school graduation rates of African American males show schools in the south have a lot of work to do. With 17 states currently showing a graduation rate of less than 50 percent, half of those are below the Mason-Dixon line.

What are your thoughts on this? Did the state you graduate from get properly represented here?

that's something, younger black brothas in hs need inspiration and something to aspire to from positive role models in college brothas. We need to positively influence them to want to abandon street thuggery and aim for a better life, sadly the college brothas meant to educate younger ones are hallmarks of shame themselves

As a brother who just graduated May of this year, I find this very troubling…
