Memorial Day symbolizes the unofficial start of summer for many people I know. The long, dreary winter and wet and rainy spring seasons are behind us, and those who have spent hours on end in the gym can finally show off their hard work. More importantly, the summer for the single readers signals the start of the hook up season. Girls who may have recently broke up with a guy all of a sudden go out with their friends more when the weather is warm. Weekend getaways out of town become more prevalent, and holiday weekends to the beaches or islands can easily stir up weekend romances. Knowing all this, what rules should you follow?

4. It’s Not that Serious
Realize that women are just like men during this time of year. If she is sexy and single, odds are it’s for a reason. She may very well be ok with not being locked down, and is simply “trying to have a good time”. Each female’s interpretation of that varies, but ideally don’t stress anyone you meet to get serious quick.

3. Don’t Be Shy
Whether you are headed to Miami, Las Vegas, New York, or anywhere else for a weekend getaway, going out of town with the fellas can be an enjoyable, memorable time. If you meet a girl out who is also from out of town, don’t get fooled by a perception you have of her that she might not be down that weekend. Many girls often are much wilder away from home, and if your game is tight, you could make hers and your weekend.

2. No Wifin In the club…
This rule really applies anywhere, but especially during the summer season. Unlike Drake’s video, you probably won’t see Maliah dancing and looking at you like she wants to lick you down later that night. Don’t be that sucka who winds up financing a girl’s drinking habit, only to have her go home to her man and give him the business.

1. Respect your Territory
The Drake video should have taught you that you can’t just show up in someone’s backyard, smash the best thing they got, and get out with no scars. Now it might not go down just like the video, but you don’t wanna end up hooking up with someone’s girl in a city you aren’t familiar with.
