4 Ways Your Friends Can Keep You Single

They say birds of a feather flock together, and often, that is true. Next time you and your boys are hanging out, take some time to think about where they are in all aspects of their life, but in particular relationships. If you are involved with someone (girlfriend/wife/etc), and they are all single, odds are they are a bad influence and you may not realize it. Your girl may have not voiced her displeasure about your friends, but there are secretly four sure fire ways your friends will keep you or make you single.

4. The Time Tug of War.
As working adults, most of us only have the weekends as our “free time”. Guys who have been single for a while and used to being on the scene have quite an adjustment when it comes down to settling down with one girl. At times, their friends also have an adjustment. Losing one of the fellas to marriage or a serious relationship can do damage to the crew, and often, if the fellas have no intention of following suit, they will want you to continue to act single, even though you aren’t.

3. Female Friends.
The topic of female friends has been brought up multiple times her on YoungBrothas.com, and in a new relationship, it rings true again. Those of you guys who have a lot of female friends will probably say that you aren’t cutting them off once you get in a new relationship. Honestly, you should not, however you do want to cut back on the interaction. Always think about it from the other side, would you really want 6 different men calling and texting your girl all day and night long?

2. Missing Important Dates.
If your anniversary falls on the night of the Mayweather fight, you might have a “tough decision” to make. I bring that example up because at the fight party I went too last week, an older married brotha was in there, saying his wife pissed him off, and that day was their 4th anniversary, but he decided to go watch the fight instead of going out with her.

Most women want to feel wanted, and know that their man holds them very high on the priority totem pole. She knows she may not uncrown his mom, but she is looking ultimately to be right after that.
