Nas Owes Kelis Alot of Damn Money

If there were some brothas on the fence about getting married, the sad story of Nas and Kelis will scare them straight. Nas was ordered to pay Kelis almost $48,000 in back child support and $41,000 in back spousal support. That doesn’t include the $10,000 a month payment Nas will begin to make to Kelis for spousal support for the next 30 months, until the amount of $299,015.40 is paid in full. That doesn’t include the legal fees Nas has to pay, which adds up to $155,787.28 and the accounting fees that add up to $48,549.83. If you add it all up, it was the biggest mistake of Nas’ life.

Nas won the battle between the two, whether or not Jay-Z fans want to agree. Jay would end up winning the war though, as Nas saw his career stall, and eventually come to a crawl. The man who was the King of Queens would eventually be on the same label run by the man who was his adversary years ago.

A lot has changed since this dropped 16 years ago.
