Texas really is recession proof

Business Week announced it’s annual list of the 40 strongest metro areas in economic growth today, and to the surprise of some, the top 5 was dominated by the Southwest.

Sitting on top of the list this year was San Antonio, Texas, which BusinessWeek says “has one of the strongest job markets in the nation.” The cities of Austin and Dallas also land in the Top 5 at 3 and 5 respectively. Houston, not to be outdone, lands at 9.

For my East Coast readers, the nation’s capital(Washington D.C) is the highest ranked metro area, at number 13.
